#FestivalCollective Spotlight On: Atlanta's "Go Softly"

September 25, 2014 in Film Spotlight

Perfect for the Halloween season, Go Softly entails the many encounters between a young girl and her doll, featuring grotesque and disturbing otherworldly creatures. Also featured by Creative Loafing, the film gives off an eerie feel as you follow the characters through their adventures in the autumn woods, immersing you in a pool of unique visuals.

Josh Yoder—director, producer, editor and writer of Go Softly—is also a member of Jungol, the band responsible for the film's soundtrack. His interest in making this short film started with wanting to connect Jungol's music with an exciting and engaging visual element.

This being his very first effort at producing a film, Yoder chose to release it in increments and out of order before it premiered in its entirety earlier this year at Snake Nation Gallery in Castleberry Hill.

You can now watch Go Softly on Film Festival Collective presented by Xfinity.
